While this is a bit off topic for the Global Team as we focus on soccer and education, I simply couldn’t resist the urge to link this video. TOPSoccer is a US Youth Soccer program that is sponsored by each state association, in Washington, we are represented by Washington Youth Soccer, the largest youth soccer organization in Washington with over 115,000 players.
TOPSoccer provides players, four and older who have cognitive and/or physical disabilities, the opportunity to get off the sidelines and onto the soccer field. Recently, Tukwila TOPSoccer was featured on Komo’s Eric’s Little Heroes, highlighting the unique impact of soccer in Washington. Take a peek to see just how transformational the sport of soccer can be and how a sport can impact social and physical development of everyone, regardless of their age, ability, gender, culture, language or religion.
Enjoy, and try not to tear up!
